Processing

Visiting the website

When you visit our website, we first collect some personal data. Your browser transmits the following data to our servers:

  • IP address of the user
  • Date and time of the request
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status / HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Operating system of the user
  • Language and version of the browser software

This data is collected for technical reasons, so that our website can be displayed in your browser.

Website statistics

Statistics only start once you agree in the notice at the bottom of the screen. Without consent the Plausible script is not loaded. We store your choice in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so we do not ask again on every visit. Plausible sets no cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

If you agree, the data mentioned above is forwarded to our processor (Plausible Insights OÜ) so that we can evaluate basic statistics on the use of our website. Your IP address is deleted in the course of this evaluation. The data that continues to be used is thereby anonymised (it can no longer be attributed to you as a website visitor).

The aim is to follow general trends in website traffic, not to store or use data that can be traced back to individual visitors.

All data is stored only in aggregated form. This stored data includes referral sources, top pages, visit duration, and information about the devices used during the visit (device type, operating system, country, and browser).

Full details of the tool used (the Plausible Analytics script) can be found in the privacy policy of Plausible Insights OÜ: Plausible Analytics.

Shop waitlist and emails (MailerLite)

If you join the shop waitlist on our website, we process your email address. We use it to tell you when the shop opens and to send you occasional emails from Planthouse.

We use MailerLite as our processor to manage addresses and send emails (MailerLite Limited, Ireland, and UAB “MailerLite”, Lithuania). MailerLite stores your email address and the time and IP address of your signup, so that your consent can be demonstrated.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by sending us a short message. After that you will not receive any more emails from us.

Details can be found in the MailerLite privacy policy: MailerLite.

Email contact

Our website includes email links (mailto) so that you can contact us quickly. In the course of such communication you may transmit personal data to us (for example if your name is apparent from your email address). Depending on your enquiry, we process this data for that purpose. We delete enquiries and data relating to you as soon as they are no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Legal basis for processing

We base the technically necessary processing when you visit the website and when you email us on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Collecting your personal data when you access and use our website is technically necessary in order to display this website.

We only collect website statistics with Plausible Analytics on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data processed in this way is anonymised first and only then evaluated or stored. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Joining the shop waitlist is also based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

When you contact us by email, personal data is necessarily processed so that those enquiries can be handled effectively.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we take into account the interest of our website visitors in the protection of their personal data within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Storage period and deletion of data

As soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, we delete your personal data without delay. We keep your waitlist email address until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.

Processor

We use the following processors: Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia) for website statistics, if you have consented. Plausible Analytics is used to produce anonymous, non-personal statistics on website use. MailerLite Limited (Ireland) and UAB “MailerLite” (Lithuania) for the shop waitlist and for sending our emails.

Rights of data subjects

If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of Art. 4(1) GDPR. You therefore have the following rights vis-à-vis us as controller:

  • Right of access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to processing
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time

You can exercise these rights simply by emailing hello@planthouse.at.

We do not store personal data in the course of website statistics. We therefore cannot fulfil requests for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability in that case. For your shop waitlist data these rights apply in full.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR or the DSG, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

In Austria, the data protection authority (dsb.gv.at) ensures compliance with data protection law.
